National Mothering Week

Next week we celebrate National Mothering Week and this years theme is "Mothering; together we do it better." This is one of the two pictures that make up the national poster, thanks to Bec at Cupcakes Photography

Today I approached some random mothers in the street and the shops, telling them they were doing a great job. Reactions ranged from surprise to suspicion at my intentions, but each mother I spoke to smiled and said thanks. This week take a moment to recognise your mother, yourself as a mother or someone else's mum.

Road Trip!

Beanies were donned and the Nanny Knits came out of the cupboard as we set off on a chilly morning for our road trip. Off to the National Park for the day.

The kids adored the wide open spaces.

I think I can honestly say that this may have almost been our favourite part of the trip, sleeping children, ah the silence...

My First Babushka

Yes, yes, I know I should have been in bed hours ago.... but here I sit putting the final touches on this dear little softie. It's a first birthday present for a friend, shhhh.. don't tell!

Little Bug Turns One!

I can't quite believe it. Our dear Little Bug has turned one. She had a smashing day, was thorougly spoilt by all (as she should be) and we had a delightful party in the park to celebrate. Big Bug wasn't far behind, testing out all her presents to make sure they all came up to his standards (pram-check!, doll-check!, clothes-check!).
